Mario GAME Maker

Here We Go!!

A Patent for a console just surfaced today, that Nintendo made. From it's description I can only say it's a Mario game maker. Not like Super Mario Maker though. Like it literally lets the users build their own games. However, it's somewhat ridiculous now because Nintendo would sell less games if every console owner out there could simply make their own games. The strange thing is, this patent has a Mario style about it and it was supposedly made back in 1994.

This invention relates generally to a method and apparatus for generating unique videographic computer programs. More particularly, the present invention relates to a video game fabricating system designed primarily for users who are unfamiliar with computer program or video game creating methodology. Such users may conveniently create a unique video game through an icon driven, interactive computing system that permits a video game to be executed, stopped, edited and resumed from the point where the editing began with the editorial changes persisting throughout the remainder of game play.~(SOURCE)

Upon further inspection, it appears this console was to work alongside the Super Nintendo and could make games with a Super Mario level creator. It looks like it was called Mario factory. Sort of, the building blocks for the Mario Maker game we have today. Still, Nintendo patented this console, so it's strange how nobody knew about it before today.

 Remember, Mario-Time-all-the-time
