If you own Miitomo and have a My Nintendo account, then today is a great day for you. Actually, you can get this reward until May 1st 2016. On My Nintendo you can get a "Mario Suit" costume for your Mii on Miitomo for IOS or Android right now. The costume costs 250 Platinum Points that can be earned by completing basic tasks on the Miitomo app itself.

My Nintendo Theme

My Nintendo is finally here, along with Nintendo's first ever mobile app for IOS and Android. Well, once you get started using Miitomo, you can quickly earn enough points to purchase a couple Super Mario rewards. Including a 3DS Home theme to commemorate the launch of Miitomo. Right now there's two themes available, Donkey Kong and Mario!! Mario's theme has new music and the words "My Nintendo" on the lower screen. Of course with badges and things, those words may be covered up, but the theme still doesn't look too bad, not bad at all. The music in this theme is titled "Something for you". The background is stationary but looks very nice, even in 3D. This reward will be available for purchase via My Nintendo until May 1st 2016

SNES Flappy Mario

Here We Go!!
OK, practically all the world hates Flappy Bird, right? Well Speedrunner Sethbling actually injected the code to run the Flappy Bird game into Super Mario World, making Mario the bird and the graphics of Super Mario World into the elements of the game. Flappy Bird already steals the warp pipe element from Super Mario so this seems so easy, right? Wrong! This code injection without PC, without hacking the console, just by playing the game on the console with a few added hookups (example: Remotes with taped-down buttons), is incredible. Mario Kart TV is shutting down

The Mario Kart TV website, which lets you watch highlight videos posted from Mario Kart 8, will be closing down as of 11:00 PM PT on Monday, April 4th 2016. We are very thankful to the many people who have used this website since it launched in 2014.

Even after the website shuts down, it will still be possible to watch Mario Kart TV and upload highlights from within Mario Kart 8 itself.
Highlight videos uploaded to YouTube from the game will not be deleted after the website shuts down.

This is awful, the highlight website was awesome and it made it all feel like a real racing brand that broadcasted it's races throughout the Mushroom kingdom. It's sad to know it's closing down, but it's still good that we will still be allowed to upload our races to YouTube.

Mario Theme Park

Wouldn't it be awesome if we could ride the Fludd pack from Super Mario Sunshine?! Well, no promises but the new theme parks from Nintendo are coming soon according sankei.com, starting in Japan (of course)... This will be a ZONE to the left of the entry gate at Universal Studios Japan/Universal Parks for Japan. This is all reported by  sankei.com first, below:

Nintendo Direct Mario-Time-Recap

OK, so Mario didn't have a whole lot to mention from this direct, except that Nintendo's reconfirmed the release of Mario & Sonic at The Rio Olympics. A new game is Paper Mario Color Splash (taking ideas from Super Mario Sunshine for splattering paint instead of washing it away) for the Wii U, but that's a spin-off compared to Super Mario Maker!

 Super Mario Maker is getting a new update!! It's getting those piston things with spikes on them and keys/ key doors that allow the maker of the level make it mandatory to beat boss battles. Now I can force players to beat my mini-boss stages!!

Know how Mario can turn into a statue and be protected in SMB3? And in Super Mario 3D Land??  Well they've made a costume for it in Super Mario Maker. I know, I know, Why ANOTHER costume?! Honestly I have no idea, it doesn't seem that this new costume has any real significance. No special abilities or anything, it just shows Mario hiding behind the ol' statue he used to turn into in SMB3. All I want for Super Mario World now, is slopes and the cape feather in NSMBU mode.

1 Million Badge collectors

Hey, remember The Nintendo Badge arcade? Of course you do, well now over 1 million people in the world are using it. So from now until next Thursday you can receive 2 free plays every day when you visit the badge arcade (we mean digitally, of course). Anyways, I guess the badges that are most collected are (drum roll please...) Super Mario Maker Badges. Not surprising really, technically they're Super Mario World bages (the majority of them). Note: Those of you who don't know, you can collect badges on here to use to decorate your 3DS HOME menu.

The Nintendo (3DS) Badge Arcade has put out brand new Super Mario badges that look like chocolates. They resemble the Mario & Friends badge collection but they are chocolate coated and actually resemble real chocolate. Two things I love, Chocolate and Super Mario. Mario Mech!!

Remember Pacific Rim? OK, it was a horrible film. But what if Mario had his own giant mech made to look like himself!? Mario Mechs are common, but some are pure artwork. People take all kinds of materials and figures to put together displays and this one is the best so far. It's a hangar where Mario's boarding the mech and Mario characters are repairing it and preparing it to launch. Amazing, it's true art! Of course, to make it the artist had to chop the big Mario in half. I don't know if I could do such a thing.

I have been working on this for the last year (off and on), and it was well worth the time it took. The Mario Mech has already been done, but I wanted to show all the work it takes to put one together. Online Mario Maker

Nintendo of Japan has made a site where you can build your own Super Mario Maker wallpapers for your devices or PC. This is FREE and we've tested it, it acts very much like the level editor in Super Mario Maker, but it doesn't have as many features or options. You cannot rotate pipes or place power ups. You can use the Super Mushroom to make certain baddies and Mario grow one size. You cannot shake elements to get another version of the element you're using. However you can move the items around the screen to be placed wherever you like. Also, you can change the theme and the background scene. The image shown above is the Wallpaper we created using this online software. Hope to see more people using this amazing tool.

OK, Reddit user Bearskopff has uploaded an image of a level he created in Halo 5 Forge to Reddit VIA Imgur.

"I was feeling nostalgic so decided to try and recreate the infamous castle from Super Mario 64 in Halo 5 Forge. Had quite a bit of fun and as many headaches trying to piece it all together but am pretty pleased with the final result - hope you are too! My GT is 'Bearskopff' so feel free to download it, add a few game mechanics and give it a play. Enjoy :)"~Bearskopff 

Of course he's left out some elements like the waterfall and stained glass windows. But we've gotta give him credit for trying so hard.  He did a good job, and it must've taken a while to create a level with such similarities to the original game.

Mario GAME Maker

A Patent for a console just surfaced today, that Nintendo made. From it's description I can only say it's a Mario game maker. Not like Super Mario Maker though. Like it literally lets the users build their own games. However, it's somewhat ridiculous now because Nintendo would sell less games if every console owner out there could simply make their own games. The strange thing is, this patent has a Mario style about it and it was supposedly made back in 1994.

On their Twitter account they say that the game comes out on Wii U this Thursday. To many this was the revolutionary Mario Kart game. It was the first to be in FULL 3D, and the sequel to the first Mario Kart game.

Mario's Pigeon Costume!

Super Mario Maker has gotten a large number of strange costumes that Mario can wear in the original Mario bros theme. This costume however, takes the cake. Today on Super Mario Maker, (Nintendo of Europe announced on Twitter) we'll be getting a pigeon costume. The famous Super Mario Maker pigeon known as Yamamura (Which we believe is named after an older Nintendo employee) is getting his own costume which you can get by beating the latest event course in Course World. Coo!

Mcdonald's of Africa got new Mario Kart 8 Happy meal toys for January 2016, which we've already had here in the USA. Perhaps this is the first they've gotten these toys over there but that's not the most interesting part of this post, the karts are being sold with other strange generic vehicles which are completely unrelated to Mario Kart.

Mario-Time in Norway

Here We Go!!

When we say Mario-Time, we literally mean Mario-Time. The Town Hall's clock in Norway is  chiming famous music right now and every night at 8pm it chimes the tune of the original SMB ground theme by Koji Kondo. So in Norway, 8pm is Mario-Time. Happy Meal Mario JP trailer

Super Mario's got new Happy meal toys out in Japan right now, that's old news. Well today is THE day they're out in Japan and they got a new Japan TV trailer. Which only makes us wonder more why they're not out in other countries like Canada and America. Either way, this trailer is cute and clearly shows that everybody loves Super Mario. Like me. So bring them over here already!!

NSMB Wii on Wii U

A lot of classics are coming to the Wii U eShop lately, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario RPG and DS games too. NSMB for the DS was put on the Wii U, so it's only fair for the unrelated sequel game also come out to the Wii U now. Nintendo of France tweeted this game was now on Wii U, also a few others. We've done the research and it looks like NSMB Wii is no out in the Americas on the Wii U eShop quite yet. Pretty sure it's definitely coming though. If you want the previous game in the series for NSMB U, this game is for you. Fun fact, NSMB Wii is Super Mario Bros 4.

Sky Pop!

It's-a-Mario-Time!

The Sky Pop has finally arrived in Super Mario Maker from the ol' Game Boy game Classic: Super Mario Land. This costume looks like the sky pop, sounds like the Sky Pop, it just doesn't do one particular thing. Fly. No offense, but to my knowledge planes do one thing above all else. FLY! Otherwise, the trailer for the costume from Nintendo of Japan shows that the Sky Pop costume is quite like the original Sky Pop. 

Another thing, This costume is given upon beating the new Event Course made by Super Mario fans at Southwestern Airlines. This course is called Southwest Air Adventure.

Nintendo World/ NY Store

Here We Go!! 

The Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Plaza in New York got a serious makeover and re-branding. It's now called "The Nintendo NY Store". Kind of not-as-cool of a title, I know. Nevertheless, this is the title they've chosen according to the Nintendo Press Room. Perhaps this new title means that they'll open up more store locations, but that's doubt-able. Fan Faves Results

Two Super Mario games, and one Yoshi game got in the Nintendo Fan Faves of 2015. The winners were Super Mario Maker, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash and Yoshi's Woolly World. These picks were pretty good picks, I must say. However they did not win the spot of "Most popular" game of the year. That was Splatoon. I've played Yoshi's Woolly World and Super Mario Maker and I believe they're both amazing games! Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash is still on my to-play list but I will play it eventually. These results were well made.

Mario Kart Garage

It's-a-Mario-Time! HarmarFan on Talk amongst yourselves made a toy garage for his son based off of Mario Kart. To me, its most amazing feature is the Mario sign of him carrying the tire. It looks as though he bought it, but I've never seen anything like it.  Other than in the game of course. This garage is quite impressive, it was a gift for his son on Christmas 2015.

Here We Go!!

You ever get Super Mario sized Happy when you eat a happy meal? Well anyone over in Japan sure does. For 2014 they got a set of Mario Mcdonalds toys and now for 2016 they're getting another set. According to the Japan Happy Meal site they're getting Mario Mcdonalds toys on January 8th. We hope these toys reach the US someday soon, until then we'll look forward to buying them off of eBay.

Mario & Sonic At The Rio Olympics, Full length Trailer

Nintendo of Japan put out a new full length trailer for Mario And Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic games for 3DS. A couple things that I noticed in this trailer is that the Golf portion of the game looks a lot like Mario Golf World Tour and that the 3DS will have four player local multiplayer.

Mario's Happy Home

Okie-Dokie, so you may or may not have already known this but Louie is an ape that brings in Super Mario content to Animal Crossing Happy Home designer via WiFi . However it was for the 30th anniversary and it's now unavailable. The Pro Nintendo Store DLC is the current FREE DLC and it will be available until the 12th of January.

Nintendo of Japan shared on Twitter that they've updated their Happy Home Designer website saying that the SMB 30th anniversary DLC will be out again on January 5th in Japan.

Dance Dance Galaxy!

Here We Go!!

Gamestomp on Twitch is all about beating games using the flooring of a Dance Dance Revolution Arcade game. PeekingBoo does the Gamestomp thing every Sunday, six days ago he uploaded this video of himself beating Super Mario Galaxy (1) using the Dance Dance Revolution Dancepad for all the game's controls. That's incredible!! I couldn't imagine attempting to beat this game with my feet.
