Super Mario Adventures Return

Super Mario Adventures is/was a comic series published in Nintendo Power a long time ago, before the magazine's discontinuation. The comics are being republished as a graphic novel. And get this: it'll be sold with a poster inside. Recent announcements of this happening can be found on Twitter from the Nintendo Store in NY. The store is selling the graphic novel collection on October 7th from 6 PM to 8 PM. They announced this as a pre-launch event for the Graphic novel.

Fire Flowers to keep your head warm

Here We Go!!
It's no joke, Nintendo is putting out official Beanies for the colder months this year, made to represent the Super Mario series. With Bullet Bills, Fire Flowers and more. Stylish, comfortable looking and in perfect time for the cold. Some of them are even shaped to represent characters and enemies. There's a Goomba, Chain Chomp, Boo, Shy Guy and one with Peach's crown on top. They're up for pre-order now on the Merchoid website for 19.99 : although it appears some are already out of stock.
You can find more info from the source.

Run 64

Here We Go!!
A hacker has hacked the 64 and made their Mario 64 game into a version of Super Mario Run. The game coming to iPhone in winter is available know in all of it's blocky graphic splendor. Same graphics and sounds of the Super Mario 64 game with the gameplay of Super Mario Run. I can only assume that the feature of playing with one hand tapping the screen is replaced with the push of a button. Kaze Emanuar is the YouTuber making this happen, it seems they've also had inspiration from hacker Mr. GreenThunder X. But Kaze is the one who made this particular hack. Not sure how it all works but here it is in action:

Super Mario iOS i-message stickers

Here We Go!!
As if it's not bad enough that android isn't getting the new Mario game first, (Super Mario Run coming to iOS this December[2016]) Now the i-messaging application is getting free Super Mario Run themed stickers! Yes, if you have an iPhone then today is your lucky day. Even though you have a horrible phone you can now send Mario stickers to your friends on a horrible phone, making android users (like myself) incredibly jealous. And they are 100% FREE. As stated in the apple store.

Mario Strikers Charged for Wii (Wii U Digital Release)

Here We Go!!

One of the darkest and most kick-butt Mario spin-off games is making a comeback tomorrow
(Sep, 8th, 2016); Non other than Mario Strikers Charged. This game was originally on Gamecube as "Strikers", then on Wii as "Charged" And now it seems it's getting a digital remake as "Charged" once again for the Wii U. This game is a fan favorite so it's sure to get many downloads and it's already been all over the internet so it's sure to be a busy day for Nintendo's servers tomorrow morning.
One big note: It looks like on Nintendo's site it shows the Gamepad as a usable controller, probbably like the N64 Wii U games but perhaps they're using the gamepad to it's fullest and actually utilizing it. Just my thoughts.

DMCA's Sky/ No Mario's Sky No more

Here We Go!!

People, this is what happens when you try and make your own Super Mario game without the one's who own Mario. It get's shut down. It's a "No Man's Sky" Parody called "No Mario's sky" the game is by ASMB Games. The game's newly made substitute makes a wise crack and turns the Copyright claim around and uses it as it's new title (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) . While this is all very creative, ASMB Games should've seen this coming and expected it, but perhaps that's how we got the replacement. Perhaps they did see it coming. Who knows!?
"Thanks everyone for playing and enjoying our little fan game. We would love to see an official Nintendo game in this style -- a Mario Galaxy-style game in 2D within a procedurally-generated universe."~ASMB Games

Mario Sports SuperStars

Here We Go!!
Mario Sports SuperStars is a direct sequel to the game Super Mario Sports Mix for Wii. This game has five various sports to choose from, including the sport new to any Mario game: Horse Racing. Of course you could race Yoshi in Super Mario RPG, kinda like a horse, but that's not the same. The lineup of activities is: Soccer, Horse Racing, Tennis, Golf and Baseball. Great so why'd I buy Mario Golf World Tour and Mario Tennis Open!? Because I'm a fanatic, that's why. Anyways.. This game is out in Spring 2017 (Next year). Announced in Yesterday's Nintendo 3DS Direct.

Mario Hot Wheels 2016

Here We Go!!

On August 26th Nintendo announced new Hot wheels cars on Facebook. Could've done it sooner somewhere else, but this is where I got my info from. Hot wheels already made a few different cars with Nintendo and Super Mario before this. But now we're getting cars that match the main characters of the Super Mario Universe. (excluding Rosalina). Just when you think you've collected all the Hot wheels cars, they give you more. And I'm happy they did.  We have no idea when these cars are coming out right now, Nintendo simply said "Soon". We're getting cars of  Peach, Bowser, Toad, Luigi, Yoshi and of course; Super Mario. Take a look and see for yourself:

Woolly World on 3DS

Here We Go!!
You heard yesterday of Mario Maker coming to 3DS well yesterday Nintendo also announced Yoshi's Woolly World for N3DS. With an exclusive Poochy yarn amiibo figure. This version of the game also has exclusive Poochy style ways of playing. There's actually an entire part of the game dedicated to this lovable little creature. Available February 3rd 2017 for the 3DS. Quite the lineup we've got for next year so far, wouldn't you agree?

Super Mario Maker For N3DS

Here We Go!!

Super Mario Maker is coming to the Nintendo 3DS. The Nintendo 3DS Direct today announced that Mario Maker is getting it's own 3DS version. It will be losing the Mystery Mushroom and costumes but I believe that's a minor loss overall.

This is a PORTABLE Super Mario Maker game, I mean c'mon! That alone is awesome! You cannot share courses normally over the internet but over Streetpass and local wireless. So it won't be the same thing; but many people haven't even been able to get a mere taste of this awesome game because they only have a 3DS or it's lower quality cousin The 2DS. A major downside is that it seems the graphics have been lowered majorly.

Mario Maker Movie Trailer

Here We Go!!
My Name is Banks has done it again, this FAKE trailer looks very good. Some parts (I'm going GEEK here so don't judge my critiquing) were a tad to realistic for my taste. Also, I don't care about Pokémon at all, sorry. But otherwise he did an awesome job and the last scene is incredibly cinematic.

Mario E3 recap

WAAAAAT!?
Here We Go!!
Sorry I've been so silent lately Mario Fanatics, Life has taken priority. So until further notice I will not be uploading any YouTube videos on a regular basis from AR-Cade/Mario-Time-News.
Right now, just a recap from E3 regarding Mario.

So far I mostly have some Twitter posts and speculation. Which is very disappointing, we'd better have more Mario soon because Nintendo is letting me down severely.

The above Tweet is all the new amiibo added to the Super Mario Line. This is the first Waluigi amiibo ever made. Fans will be thrilled that he's finally come into play. Amiibo Hunters will definitely be on the hunt for them very soon. Many have said pre-orders for the amiibo are already up on Best buy and other sites like Amazon as well. They'll all be out on November 4th of this year.

Miyamoto shared the new Vans Mario shoes on Twitter from E3 this week as well.

A new Mario Party game has been announced, I know right!? Another one. But this time around the game mechanics and style has been completely changed, I'm hoping it's a cheap downloadable 3DS title but I highly doubt that. Looks awesome though.

That's all for now

Mario's a numero UNO!

Here We Go!!

Strangely, in Italian and Spanish; "Numero Uno" means number one. Coincidentally when you win in specific Mario games Mario will say "Mario's number one!" Well today I'm talking about a different kind of "UNO". A card game that has killed relationships, ended friendships, has made everyone at one point feel victorious and also come closer as a family. Super Mario has already once before had an UNO game, it was Super Mario 64 UNO and it is now a collectible item, which means as a collector no matter how much you wanna play with it you just can't open it because it would RUIN it!! You get me, right? Anyways, now (reportedly) Nintendo and Mattel are teaming up to bring out a modern Super Mario UNO game, Sad thing is, so far it seems to only be coming out in Japan and outside the U.S. So don't get your hopes up (although I know you will) but it may someday soon be coming to USA Shores.

MarioCraft WiiU edition

Here We Go!!

I've been waiting quite some time for this to happen, and believed it never would. Yesterday Nintendo of America shared this on Twitter and confirmed that this desire from many, will now become a reality.

"On May 17, the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack comes to Minecraft: Wii U Edition as a free game update. After downloading the update, players who own the Minecraft: Wii U Edition digital game, which launched last December, will have immediate access to new skins, a Super Mario-themed pre-made world and a set of Super Mario-themed music and item textures. All this new content is inspired by games in the iconic Super Mario series, such as Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. When the retail version of Minecraft: Wii U Edition launches in stores on June 17 at a suggested retail price of $29.99, the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack will be included on the disc."~Nintendo
Everyone who was on the internet yesterday knew this happened, I was busy and late to the party but I'm looking forward to this FREE edition and I will no buy this game because of this. Tell me, will this also be the reason you'll buy this game? Or do you like this at all?

Mario and Vans

Here We Go!!

The popular magazine Family Circle covered a new bit of fashion news lately, starting June 3rd Nintendo and Vans will be teaming up with Nintendo/Super Mario to put out Backpacks, t-shirts, slip on sneakers and slides (like flip-flops) for adults and kids. One word comes to mind: Awesomtacular. It's Mario Time, all the time, fer sure when there's new Mario clothing products on the way. Not much more is known about all of this, except that the designs will most likely be pixelated/8bit style.

Baby Mario Metal

Here We Go!!

I know, the title of this article is slightly confusing, but it's not a metal skin for the spin-off character "Baby Mario". Actually, the article is about a Japanese Rock group called "Baby Metal" Which is getting it's very own Super Mario Maker costume. I know, it's sort of ridiculous how properties that seemingly have nothing to do with videogames at all are getting Super Mario Maker Costumes, but I suppose we'll just have to endure this strange addition to the game. This video is a Japanese announcement so I cannot yet confirm it for North America but it'll be pretty obvious when it's out in North America so I won't be updating the post when it is out.

live Action Donkey Kong

Here We Go!!

The last live action video we covered mixed Star Wars with Mario on YouTube, now I'm sharing a new video by  MyNameIsBanks. It's the original Donkey Kong arcade game made into a short film, but it's not quite accurate as they wanted to move on and make something where it's in a series of videos, at the end they make known their next video will be a short film of Super Mario Maker, somehow using Pauline instead of Peach in that series, which in Mario Maker there is now Princess rescue, it's just about the levels. So I have no idea how that's going to work. A lot of it was in time with the background music more than anything, and the maker of the video put their name throughout it, and it probably would've been better without that. But to make a story using the game, It was very cinematic, I must say it was very well done, looking forward to the next one.

Animatronic Mario

Here We Go!!

This looks neat, but it doesn't do ANYTHING!! It just blinks it's eyes and moves a bit, there's even a Super Mushroom candy container that spins for absolutely no reason at all. What I don’t understand at all is why didn’t they use more animations and vocals, there are so many pre-recorded Mario vocals from Charles Martinet, they could’ve used vocals from youtube videos, chopped them up and put them in, with it only saying one thing it’s slightly creepy. They could’ve made the user interact using the D-Pad and/or A & B Buttons.

For those that love Star Wars and Nintendo, you probably already know about this because the video is blowing up the internet. rizenvisual has created a mixture of animation, bringing Mario and Star Wars together in a comedic fashion. Released just three days ago, here it is: "Star Wars Mario Squadron" A certain other Nintendo character may also make a small cameo.

Mario Maintenance

Here We Go!!

Maintenance has been scheduled for The Super Mario Maker game's servers on Wednesday, April 20th from 6:00 PM - to 8:00 PM Pacific Time. This maintenance may have something to do with user's previous complaints on having their courses removed, but it also may be entirely unrelated to that. We'll see as the time comes for the maintenance to commence.

Mini Deals

Here We Go!!

OK, so earlier on somewhere people were given early access to Mini Mario and Friends amiibo Challenge for WiiU and 3DS if they purchased an amiibo at participating Gamestop locations, now according to Nintendo is allowing ANYONE to download it free on April 28th. No offense to Nintendo, but why is it FREE if we had to buy an amiibo to get it previously? What kind of promo is that!? I just think that was awful, so many had to try and get it from codes their friends got on Facebook because they couldn't afford additional amiibo at the time, and now the game will be FREE to download. INCREDIBLE. However, the game does force you to have amiibo to use it so it utilizes amiibo quite well, I own it and have enjoyed it so far.

Mario and Luigi toys at SONIC!?

Here We Go!!
OK, so we've all known that Mario and Sonic have had a long-time rivalry, but now the SONIC restaurants (yes it's a joke) will be having Mario And Luigi Paper Jam toys. Starting today the Sonic Wacky Pack Kids meals will include one of 5 toy sets. Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi are both spin-off games, Paper Mario barely comes close to the actual Mario while the Mario and Luigi series makes a distant resemblance of the real Super Mario franchise/brand. Some of these toys look like toys I'd collect, if you're looking for new Mario toys.. Check Sonic. But we've eaten there before, they're not that good. I prefer Mcdonalds, Checkers/Rally's or (of course) Burger King. Funny though, the Sonic Drive Ins Site currently still says they offer "Teen Titans Go" Toys... Some website editor needs to make an update, and faster than Sonic.

Gotta Go Fast (Sonic Pun)

Sorry we're late, but we were obviously last to get this news somehow, but we've also been pretty busy too. So, the world record speedrun using every shortcut and thing available was conquered this month (April 2015) by Darbian who is a LIVE streamer on YouTube/Twitch. He beat the record by mere seconds, but he did it!! The new record is 4:57.260 the old one was 4:57.693

Karting at Sea, it's happening now.

Here We Go!!

Norwegian Joy is Norwegian Cruise Line's new cruise ship, engineered from Germany for China, and man, one feature (breifly shown) stands out above the rest. It seems that They've taken the idea straight from The Daisy Cruiser course from Mario Kart Double Dash.
it's most likely that only just the inspiration was taken from Mario Kart, sadly, the karts and track seem to have no connection to the franchise "Super Mario" whatsoever. The track does seem to have taken some from the Mario Kart games, perhaps the ones who engineered it all were avid Gamers,
I wonder if their carts have gliders and can go underwater..

Mushrooms Are on SALE!!

Here We Go!!

The Mushrooms title was a joke...

"We have a Coca-Cola distributor who comes to us and creates these really interesting designs for us," Hughes, 24, told ABC News. "Mario came up last Tuesday and he's been hanging out ever since."~Austin Hughes

Now that's what I call "POP-art". Sorry I had to. I just had to say it. The Orange Street Farm Food market in Missoula, Montana has a guy that comes in and makes displays like this one from pop twelve packs. This news was obtained from ABC, what I don't understand is that the display was mentioned as being Mario Luigi and Toadstool. I can only assume that the reporter has no real knowledge of Super Mario because that is clearly a Super Mushroom floating over a Warp Pipe. That made me laugh a bit on the inside.

The UK is adding some SUPER incentive to pre-order Mario & Sonic at The Rio 2016 olympics for the 3DS. When you pre-order from the UK, you'll also get the elusive and highly collectible Mario hat, as in the one from Club Nintendo before it shut down. This opportunity is epic, if I could temporarily switch my residency to buy this game, I would just to get the cap. It's authentic!!

Here We Go!!
My Nintendo is finally here, along with Nintendo's first ever mobile app for IOS and Android. Well, once you get started using Miitomo, you can quickly earn enough points to purchase a couple Super Mario rewards. Including a 3DS Home theme to commemorate the launch of Miitomo. Right now there's two themes available, Donkey Kong and Mario!! Mario's theme has new music and the words "My Nintendo" on the lower screen. Of course with badges and things, those words may be covered up, but the theme still doesn't look too bad, not bad at all. The music in this theme is titled "Something for you". The background is stationary but looks very nice, even in 3D. This reward will be available for purchase via My Nintendo until May 1st 2016
