Nintendo of Japan has put out a video explaining how amiibo will unlock costumes for your Miis in Mario & Sonic At the Rio Olympics 2016 game. Of course this trailer is in Japanese so I do not completely understand it, obviously. But anyways, here it is, see here what you can do in the 3Ds version of this game using amiibo:
